Adjustable Bed Education on The Red Grave Story

What is an adjustable bed?

An adjustable bed, as the name implies, is simply a bed that can be adjusted. You can adjust the sleepers position from a 100% flat to a sit-up position to the a feet-up position to even a both head and feet up position (aka lounging position or zero-gravity position). The majority of the beds do this by utilizing electrically operated motors while a few 'old-generation' adjustable beds have to be adjusted manually.

Adjustable bed brands

There are literally dozens of adjustable bed brands; however, the most popular brands are Leggett & Platt, Reverie, Sleep Number, Tempurpedic, Serta, Ergomotion, Classic Brands, Beautyrest etc. Each of these manufacturers produce different models under each brand starting from entry-level models to high-end, luxurious adjustable beds. The prices start off at around $500 and go all the way to nearly $10,000.

In 2019, a few new brands of adjustable beds were introduced.

The best adjustable bed in the current market

The best of the best adjustable bed in the current market is the Sleep Number 360. It uses something called Responsive Airâ„¢ technology which can automatically sense your movements and adjusts the firmness level of the adjustable mattress so that you get to sleep undisturbed throughout the night.

While the Sleep Number 360 is currently the best adjustable bed, it won't come cheap. It costs over $6,000. If you don't want to spend that kind of money on an adjustable bed, there are cheaper options like the Leggett & Platt Prodigy adjustable bed. The Prodigy too is a great electric bed without the automatic air responsive technology of Sleep Number.
